NAVIGATING THE CANAL

The boardwalk surrounding the canal is under repair, please do not walk the boardwalk. There are several loose, broken boards. The boathouse just north of ours is in critical disrepair. Do not fish from that dock.

Fishing allowed from our personal boardwalk & at the neighborhood jetty

  • Most of our neighbors are full-time residents. If they have never met you, don’t be surprised if they ask where you’re staying! Please let them know you are a guest of Todd & Rachel Long. Mariners Cove does not allow short-term rentals, so it's important that they understand you are not a renter.
  • Pool Access - as our guest, you have access to the pool and cooking facilities at the front of the neighborhood. Please keep the doors to the clubhouse and restrooms closed. Throw away your trash. No dogs in the pool or pool area.
  • Neighborhood Boardwalk - while the canal homes have a common area accessible by residents and guests, we strongly advise not taking this route until all repairs are completed.
  • Fishing Pier Access - as our guest, you have access to the fishing pier at the front of the canal. The man-made jetty has park benches and evening shade. Remove all trash. Check your weather app for sunsets!

BAY FISHING

Fishing from our dock is always a surprise! Hardhead and Saltwater catfish are common. We have also had the pleasure of catching several other creatures right off our dock, including crab, pufferfish, squid, flounder, and redfish.

Memorable catch?

Take a polaroid photo and pin it on the wall! - You’re now officially part of our story. (Polaroid camera and film found in the teal desk drawer in foyer.)
